ONYX MAVERICK
This was never supposed to happen.
My best friend Liana was all mine once. Her body, soul, and every breath in between. Until she escaped my world yearning for the safety she found in his. Terry provided her security, each declaration of love proving to be a bigger slap in my face than the last.
Getting notified that Liana and Terry needed my help was as exhilarating as the circumstances were tragic. I should have felt shame for my emotions, but I liked that they needed me. They think revenge will help them heal, but I know better. Once we start, there’s no salvation, only ruin. I’ve always liked broken things, so I make a ruthless pledge to help them along their road to destruction. After all, they owe me the life they stole by moving on without me.
In helping them catastrophically burn, I’ll get a front-row seat to the beautiful downfall of their perfect marriage. Now, all I have to do is keep my secret close to my chest. No matter how long this mission takes, they can never find out that it wasn’t only my feelings for Liana that sent me running all those years ago. It was my attraction to them both.
